Altenburger joined AIJA New Year’s Run initiative to stand in solidarity with endangered lawyers in Belarus, where being a defender of justice has become a danger. Lawyers face harassment, arrests, detentions, and punitive measures simply for upholding the rule of law.
The Day of the Endangered Lawyer (24 January 2025) approaching, it’s time to amplify the voices of those silenced in Belarus.
